2017 Chubb Classic Winner Boosted by Bettinardi FCB DASS Tour Putter
(Tinley Park, IL February 20th, 2017) – The winner of the 2017 Chubb Classic trusted his Bettinardi FCB DASS Tour putter for his first victory since 2014, and 4th since switching to a Bettinardi putter. The World Golf Hall of Famer closed with a final round and bogey free score of 67 (-5), which was 3 shots clear of his nearest competitor.
The winner put on a memorable putting display all week making 16 birdies and 2 eagles over 3 rounds with his red hot putter. The putter, which Robert J Bettinardi, President and Founder of Bettinardi Golf milled for the winner back in 2013, is a custom blade design featuring a high-toe topline and milled from Double Aged Stainless Steel (DASS). His putter features Bettinardi Golf’s F.I.T (Feel-Impact-Technology) Face milling which removes 55% of the material from the face, resulting in a very soft feel at impact.
“The winner of the Chubb Classic put on a phenomenal display of putting in a stacked field of the best players on the PGA TOUR Champions,” said Robert Bettinardi. “The winner has played great all year posting all 8 tournament rounds under 70, and now leads the Schwab Cup money title. We look forward to watching his stellar play in the upcoming events.”
