This is where the now-iconic characters like the Fat Cat, Windy City Wizard, Betti Bomb, and more first came to life. Every colorway, every stitch, each finish, and all personality begins with a sketch, a spark of inspiration, to create the most exclusive golf product in the world.

Some ideas never leave the walls of our Tinley Park headquarters. Others become legendary drops that sell out in minutes.

The Fat Cat: First debuted in 2018, a cool, confident cat with a little attitude, something that felt unmistakably entertaining. The fat cat brings humor, attitude, and playfulness to the brand. It’s a reminder that golf is a game, and the gear you carry should make you smile. 

The Fat Cat isn’t shy. Whether he’s wearing aviators, drinking a transfusion, hanging out with his buddy the Windy City Wizard, he represents: 

Confidence, boldness, moxy, and a lot of character. He’s the embodiment of a golfer who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, and likes to have fun on the course, especially with that ear-to-ear grin. We all know a fat cat at our local club or course. 😊

The Windy City Wizard: An iconic character that debuted in 2015, he represents Chicago pride, creative craftsmanship, and the uncanny ability to help you drain long putts and be your own Wizard around the greens. 

Sam Bettinardi was playing golf one day with 3 of his close friends, and on the back 9 Sam turned it up making 5 birdies, including a massive hole out from the bunker on 18 for birdie to win a lot of points in the scotch game that they were playing. His partner joked that he was like a Wizard around the greens, and at that moment a lightbulb went off. Sam thought the name Wizard would be a genius logo for Bettinardi Golf. The design team went to work, and honed in the popular logo that many have come to love to this day. The Wizard’s focus rarely wanes with his serious look; however, in recent years he has become more playful, allowing for full-body art and manipulation that gives him an even bolder personality. 

Betti Bomb: Debuted in 2023, ‘The Bomb’ has won over the hearts of many Bettinardi collectors as one of their favorite icons. The Betti Bomb was inspired by golfers who make long putts on the green, or are AKA ‘Dropping Bombs, in addition to Bettinardi putters ‘blowing up the leaderboard, making noise across PGA, LPGA, and other global tours.  

Sam Bettinardi thought it would be a fun idea to turn the phrase ‘Dropping Bombs’ into a logo and created The Betti Bomb with his creative team. The Betti Bomb has evolved in his 3 short years being a part of the stable of icons, being used with a variety of faces, poses, and taking on historic moments in pop-culture, all while retaining his stylistic sense of fun and inimitable Bettinardi appearance. The Betti Bomb also takes on Bettinardi’s explosive precision in CNC milling, high-performance gear crafted for players who want an edge, and a fiery, aggressive design language meant to fire up the user and make more putts! 

Stinger Bee: Debuting in 2010, the Stinger Bee is Bettinardi’s longest tenured icon. The Stinger goes perfectly in hand with the overall Bettinardi branding that features Honeycomb milling, The Hive, our Hex B logo, and all things related to Bees, originating from Robert Bettinardi’s original Honeycomb milling which debuted in 1998! The Stinger has its own personality of being fiercer and more aggressive, like a mascot fighting for you on the greens to make every putt. In recent years, the stinger has evolved into more of a full-body icon, seen in boxing poses, as a lucky stinger, or enjoying  an adult beverage, and much more! If you like a more subtle icon that pack a punch, the Stinger is for you!
