At age 23, George Cunningham has accomplished a lot in his young golf career. Heavily touted from a young age, George was the #2 High School recruit in the nation, before choosing to attend The University of Arizona. His freshman year, he lived up to those high expectations with 6 top 10 finishes and was honored with All PAC 12 honors. After a return to the golf team his senior year, George won his first college tournament and went on to finish his senior year as one of his most accomplished with 7 top 10 finishes. Golfweek ranked him 25th heading into the NCAA Kissimmee Regional and once again, George delivered for the Wildcats as he lead the way shooting the lowest round of all golfers and headed to the NCAA Championship as an individual.
On April 17, 2018, Cunningham earned his MacKenzie Tour card when he finished 3rd at the Qualifying School, while still in school and playing as an Amateur. It didn’t take long for him to win his first tournament on the MacKenzie Tour as he took home the championship GolfBC Championship in just his 3rd event and has gone on to have 4 top 10 finishes this season.
On September 16th, George finished 2nd in Order or Merit on the Mackenzie Tour, and earned his Web.com Tour card for 2019.
Bettinardi Golf is excited to announce the signing of George Cunningham, September 2018. George will be putting with a DASS BB8 Triplane.
